Your ‘day To Day’ (Key Responsibilities)

  • Build and manage relationships with key political stakeholders, including government officials, advisors, and relevant third parties, to advance regulatory and business objectives
  • Identify and engage influential stakeholders to shape regulatory and fiscal agendas
  • Monitor, analyze, and anticipate political and legislative developments to inform strategy and decision-making
  • Develop and execute stakeholder engagement and advocacy campaigns
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs team, fostering collaboration, capability building, and engagement
  • Ensure an effective organizational set-up, optimizing resources and driving performance
  • Ensure all activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and RBH & PMI policies and standards

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced government relations leader with a proven ability to shape policy, influence stakeholders, and advance business priorities in complex, regulated environments.

The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in the Canadian political landscape, a track record of engaging senior government stakeholders, and the ability to translate business objectives into effective advocacy strategies.

They are a credible and respected leader with strong political acumen, capable of leading high-performing teams and operating with integrity, sound judgment, and a strong compliance mindset.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Public Policy, Law, Political Science, or related field is an asset.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, or public policy
  • Proven track record of engaging and influencing senior government stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of Canadian political and regulatory environments
  • Experience developing and executing policy and advocacy strategies
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in highly regulated industries is an asset

For this position, the salary starts at $215,600 CAD based annually

VOTRE QUOTIDIEN

  • Établir et entretenir des relations solides avec les principaux intervenants politiques, notamment les représentants gouvernementaux, les conseillers et les tiers pertinents, afin de faire progresser les priorités réglementaires et commerciales
  • Identifier, cartographier et mobiliser activement les parties prenantes influentes pour contribuer à façonner les agendas réglementaires et fiscaux
  • Surveiller, analyser et anticiper les évolutions politiques, législatives et réglementaires, et traduire ces informations en recommandations concrètes pour soutenir la prise de décision
  • Élaborer et mettre en œuvre des stratégies d’engagement des parties prenantes et de représentation (advocacy) alignées sur les objectifs de l’entreprise
  • Diriger et développer une équipe performante en affaires gouvernementales et affaires réglementaires, en favorisant la collaboration, le développement des capacités et l’engagement
  • Assurer une organisation efficace, optimiser l’allocation des ressources et piloter la performance en fonction des priorités stratégiques
  • Veiller à ce que toutes les activités soient menées en pleine conformité avec les lois, règlements applicables ainsi que les politiques et standards de RBH et PMI

Nous recherchons un(e) leader expérimenté(e) en affaires gouvernementales, doté(e) d’une capacité démontrée à influencer les politiques publiques, mobiliser les parties prenantes et faire progresser les priorités d’affaires dans des environnements complexes et fortement réglementés.

Le ou la candidat(e) idéal(e) possède une solide connaissance du paysage politique canadien, un historique éprouvé d’engagement auprès d’intervenants gouvernementaux de haut niveau, ainsi que la capacité de traduire les objectifs d’affaires en stratégies d’influence efficaces.

Il/elle est un(e) leader crédible et respecté(e), doté(e) d’un fort sens politique, capable de diriger des équipes performantes tout en faisant preuve d’intégrité, de jugement éclairé et d’un haut niveau de rigueur en matière de conformité.

Exigences Clés

  • Baccalauréat requis; une maîtrise en politiques publiques, en droit, en science politique ou dans un domaine connexe constitue un atout
  • 8 à 12+ années d’expérience en affaires gouvernementales, affaires réglementaires ou politiques publiques
  • Expérience avérée en engagement et influence auprès d’intervenants gouvernementaux de haut niveau
  • Solide compréhension des environnements politiques et réglementaires au Canada
  • Expérience dans le développement et la mise en œuvre de stratégies de politiques publiques et de représentation (advocacy)
  • Expérience en gestion et en développement d’équipes
  • Excellentes compétences en communication, négociation et gestion des parties prenantes
  • Une expérience dans des secteurs fortement réglementés constitue un atout
