We are seeking an experienced Site Assistant Manager - Fire Prevention to join our clients manufacturing plant inWoodstock client one of the largest automotive companies in the world is a leader in the automotive industry and afavouriteamongst drivers around the are known globally for their diverse vehicles pioneering hybrid vehicles andtheirextensive global manufacturing and sales focusing on quality safety and sustainable mobility.
The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 4 years or more of experience in fire prevention. You have proven experience managing large teams and are skilled at resolving complex situations using a range of proactive you take initiative and are recognized as a strong leader.

PayRate:$28.99/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Security Assistant Manager (S/AM) is the leader of the Emergency Response team (ERT) andis responsible forall aspects of the client sites security operations firepreventionand emergency response throughout the duration of their S/AM reports directly to the Site Manager (SM) andis responsible forthe following:
Ensure all security operations and administrative directives conform to policies and procedures set out bytheclientSecuritasCanada Ltd. and the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Ensures that allclientsecurity firepreventionand emergency response related duties are carried out with precision and accuracyin accordance withstandard operating procedures (SOPs) Emergency Response SOPs (ERSOPs) andclientpolicies.
Performleadership and management dutiesrequiredfor their respective team including administrative training supervisorydutiesand workplace injury/illnessreporting.
Leadand support the ERT during emergency situations including but not limitedtofire medicalspillandthreat.
Respondon foot by Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) or S/AM vehicle to emergency situations conduct scene assessment and co-ordinateappropriate responseof ERT with local emergency services asrequired.
Conductcomprehensive handover brief to oncoming S/AM during shift change to ensure all pertinent information is passed on whenreceiving handover; all relevant information is to bedisseminatedasrequiredtoappropriate teammembers.
ReviewS/AM emails and calendars to become acquainted with relevant information proceduralupdatesand upcomingevents.
ReviewandmaintainS/AM shift report and payroll documents ensuring all entries areaccurateand shift activities arerecorded.
Ensureallappropriate filingiscompletedand shift statistics are kept up to date andaccurate.
Delegateappropriate schedulingcalls to Communications Team Member (C/TM) and updatesiteschedule asrequired.
Delegateand assign weekly/monthly inspections following up with audits to ensure completion.
Theinitialpoint of contact for Securitas employee book offs vacation requests and uniform/equipment requests all forms to be completed andsubmittedto SM.
Ensure JHSC monthly Health and Safety inspections aresubmittedon time.
Conduct employee performance audits to ensure policy compliance reporting all issues requiring follow up to SM.
Complete the Employee Performance Management System for each team member toestablishsuitable goals and objectives career development aspirationsmonitorprogress and provide bi-annual performance reviews as directed by SM.
Provides relief andgeneral supportasrequiredfor breaks and lunch.
Conduct weekly/monthly training tomaintaincompetency levels and test emergencyresponseincluding monthly trainingsimulationstomaintaincontinuous professional development of all team members.
Comply withall Post Orders SOPsERSOPsand client policies.
Mentor andassistin the training and continuous improvement of new and existing team members.
Complete all training projectsadditionaldutiesand functions as directed by Securitas Management or Client representative
Identifyall training requirements for respective Team Members and coordinate with Trainer and Site Manager to ensure completion.
Mentor andmaintaincompetency level of a suitable back-up to carry out functions of the S/AMin the event ofvacations bookoffsor other absences.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Ontario Security Guard License and First Aid Certificate. First Responder (Canadian Red Cross certification completed within 6 months of hire date and to be maintained).
Valid G class Drivers License and clean Drivers Abstract
Law & Security Police Foundations or equivalent Diploma from a recognized College or progressive leadership and management experience and site training in the positions of S/TM C/TM and FPI.
NFPA 1001 Fire Fighter level I & II from a recognized College or Introduction to Interior and Exterior Fire Fighting.
IMS 100. IMS 200 to be completed within 12 months of commencement of post.
Willing to work at both client sites in both Cambridge ON and Woodstock ON locations as required.
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training from a recognized provider to be completed within 3 months of commencement of post.
Mental Health First Aid Certificate issued by recognized provider to be completed within 3 months of commencement of post.
Competent in the use of Outlook Excel Word Lenel and PowerPoint.
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and be adaptive to changing environments and priorities.
Able to think and act quickly to resolve problems while staying calm under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
