Scoop Shop Manager

Job Responsibility:

Job Summary

We are looking for a results driven retail store manager to be responsible for overseeing daily operations, staff scheduling, customer service, and meeting sales targets, while also maintaining a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for both staff and customers. Candidates will have the most success if they have a background in retail management as well as a current food handlers certificate and knowledge of food safety. Sales experience and business outreach is also an asset.

Store manager responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the scoop shop, including inventory management, orgering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
• Manage staff schedules, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
• Monitor sales and customer traffic to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Business outreach qualification for sales and events (corporate picnics, golf tournaments, customer appreciation).
• Promote the scoops shop's products and services effectively
• Monitor sales and expenses to ensure profitability
• Manage cash handling and point-of-sale systems
• Follow health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Must have own vehicle
• Customer management skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Food Handlers certificate and knowledge of food safety an asset
• Ability to work long hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Speak English, read English and write English
• Previous management and sales experience preferred

Salary: $20.00 /hour
