Director Fund Investments at BDC Capital

Business Development Bank of Canada

Drive strategic investments at BDC Capital as a Director of Fund Investments focusing on Canada's defence priorities. This role offers a chance to lead venture capital and private equity initiatives. As part of BDC Capital, you will manage an extensive investment portfolio with over $6 billion under management. This position requires substantial experience in sourcing and underwriting fund opportunities while maintaining relationships with general partners. You will also guide Associates and Analysts in the investment process and contribute to Canada’s defence and dual-use technology initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

Source high-quality fund investment opportunities
Execute fund investment processes and analysis
Manage and monitor investment portfolio performance
Build relationships with fund managers and stakeholders
Coach and oversee Associates and Analysts

Requirements:

5-7 years of investment experience required
2+ years in venture capital or private equity
Strong analytical and communication skills
Understanding of investment documentation and negotiations
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
