Long-term Family Assistant / Nanny (8+ year position)

Friendly family with four delightful young children that span a range of 2 to 7 years, looking for a nanny/house assistant to help with busy afternoons/early evenings. The schedule needed would be weekdays from roughly 1:30–5:30 PM. This would involve being present when the schoolbus arrives, some daycare pickups, for which you'd need to be a confident driver with a valid license. We have our own car available for this purpose. After pickups, your main duties will include engaging the kids in interactive play, and spending outdoor time. A parent often arrives home by 4 pm at which time some organizational tasks would be hugely appreciated. As part of the children's daily routines, you'll be expected to help maintain a smooth, organized afternoon operation. Duties relevant to the children include cooking, preparing their meals, helping with their homework, doing their laundry and light housekeeping. As for the perfect candidate, we’re looking for someone who is kind-hearted, patient, and nurturing. You'll need to be able to establish clear and consistent boundaries, doing so in a calm and respectful manner. Reliability, organization, and proactivity are essential traits. We appreciate someone interested in forming a long-term relationship with us and truly getting to know our children. If you happen to be bilingual and can speak French, that's fantastic - but it's not a requirement. More importantly, we hope to welcome someone who will become a significant presence in our children's lives, providing them with a sense of comfort, and growth over time.
