Long-term Family Assistant / Nanny (5+ year position

Friendly family with four delightful young children from 2 to 7 years, and two golden retrievers, looking for a nanny/house assistant to help with busy afternoons/early evenings. The hours are Monday to Friday from roughly 1:30–5:30 PM. The routine would involve being doing some housework, then being present when the schoolbus arrives, and doing some daycare pickups, (for which you'd need to be a confident driver with a valid license, we have our own car available for this purpose). After pickups, your main duties will include a little homework, playing with the kids and spending outdoor time. A parent often arrives home by 4 pm at which time some organizational tasks and dinner prep would be hugely appreciated. We’re looking for someone who is kind, patient, and reliable with strong communication. You'll need to be able to establish clear and consistent boundaries, doing so in a calm and respectful manner. Organization and proactivity are essential traits. If you happen to be bilingual and can speak French, that's fantastic - but it's not a requirement. We are hoping to find someone who would like to become part of our family for many years. Our children are school-aged and becoming increasingly independent, so this role combines after-school care with meaningful household support.
