Financial Analyst (18-Month Term)

Our client is searching for a Financial Analyst to join their team for an 18-month term. This role will be responsible for providing support and advice to the management team to assist in the decision-making process and providing solutions for operational planning, development, and budgeting. A successful candidate will be adaptable, analytical, and eager to understand the nuances of financial operations beyond standard metrics. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, excels at translating financial insights into operational impact and is enthusiastic about continuing to grow in their career.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

• Collaborate closely with various Department Managers, translating financial insights and providing resource assistance or strategic advice as required
• Support the FP&A Manager in the detailed review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial results and comparing the information with appropriate statistics to provide variance analysis on activity and pricing
• Gather and analyze financial and statistical information to support both strategic and operational decision-making for the Finance Department and the organization as a whole
• Collaborate with the accounting departments to ensure accurate monthly adjustments and accruals are complete
• Assist in the preparation and updating of financial projections and forecasts based on evolving financial data and new funding information becomes available

Your strengths include

• CPA designation is an asset, not required
• 3+ years of progressive experience in budgeting and financial analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong experience with Excel
• Previous experience with Power BI is a major asset
• Previous experience with Oracle is an asset
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
