We are currently seeking a talented individual to join the Summer School team. Summer School provides

a supportive and focused learning environment where dedicated educators help

students improve their skills through personalized instruction and

collaborative efforts. This position provides the opportunity to teach diverse

mixed-grade or mixed-course classes in small groups during four weeks of

half-day sessions, tailoring lessons to each student's needs, and frequently

evaluating and reporting on their progress.

Position: Summer School Educational Assistant - ½ days

Start Date: June 22nd, 2026

End Date: July 17th, 2026

Essential Qualifications

Grade 12 graduation or equivalent;

• Experience

  working with youth at a secondary school level;

• Post-secondary

  training in Exceptionalities Worker Program, Special Education, Teacher

  Education, Early Childhood Education, Social Services or Medical Services would

  be an asset

Desired knowledge, skills, and suitability

The ideal candidate will possess these qualifications,

skills, and knowledge, but also demonstrate suitability for the role and

organizational culture:

• Ability to work effectively with students, teachers and parents;
• Adaptability to cope with a wide variety of situations;
• Ability to work as a member of a team;
• Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;
• Flexibility to undertake a variety of assignments;
• Ability to work with minimal supervision;

This is a designated position within the Yukon public

service which requires the following condition(s) of employment:
