Nordic Spa General Manager

Job Responsibility: Nordic Spa General Manager Reports to: Corporate Director of Nordic Spa Operations Achieving Excellence Statement: As the Spa General Manager you are accountable to drive continuous improvement; supported by an organization that encourages entrepreneurial spirit and action. Key Focuses Delivers Quality by engaging team members to deliver picture perfect, sparkling clean, first impressions in all public and back of house areas Monitors on going daily maintenance, preventative maintenance and deep cleaning programs, conducts quarterly facility FF&E audits Visible in operations; supporting execution/presentation of brand standards, guest touch points and revenue optimization Sets par levels and control procedures to make sure their employees have the tools and materials required to be successful Creates business plans and budgets for their area that support the overall financial goals of the organization. Reviews financial outcomes daily, weekly, monthly; making adjustments to optimize revenues and margins. Leads recruitment; creating a work environment, value proposition and processes that attracts and retains quality employees. Assigned deliverables are executed in a manner that requires little or no follow up; both in terms of timeliness, scope and quality. Does not allow shortfalls in operating standards to go unaddressed; supported by clearly communicated expectations and real time coaching Collaborate with our Corporate team and General Managers from other Spa properties to develop and update all of our Standard Operation Procedures Provides direct reports with the resources, direction, coaching, feedback and goal setting required for their continuous development. Collaborate and build strong partnerships with our Resort partners and vendors to ensure successful operations Personal and their team's communication, interactions and behaviors support the Spa value that everyone is welcome and everyone is equal. Experience/Passions/Education Post-secondary certifications/diploma or degree an asset 3+ years of management experience within the hospitality industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Advanced Microsoft Office skills required Comfortable with technology and open to new learning A passion for mental and physical wellness Working Conditions This position will include early morning shifts any day of the week or weekend and the occasional midday, afternoon, and evening shift if needed. This position will require long periods of standing and requires constant physical movement. There may be periods of independent work and changes in temperature from the back of the house to the front of the house.
