Regulated Power Portfolio Manager Role Calgary

Drive innovation in Alberta's power sector with NRG as a Senior Portfolio Manager. Oversee the regulated power portfolio's trading and compliance to exceed market performance and customer satisfaction. In this pivotal role, you will manage all functions of the Regulated Power portfolio, ensuring adherence to the Energy Price Setting Plan.
Your work will include collaborating with internal teams and engaging with external stakeholders to optimize portfolio performance and mitigate risks. By utilizing your deep market knowledge, you will contribute to the future success of NRG in a dynamic energy landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of pricing strategies
- Manage day-to-day portfolio operations
- Execute electricity trades and hedging strategies
- Build financial models to inform P&L forecasts
- Analyze market developments and electricity demand trends
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field
- 10–25 years experience in the energy market
- Deep understanding of trading fundamentals
- Proven experience managing portfolio performance
- Solid stakeholder engagement and communication skills
