Deputy Fire Chief - Employee Safety and Training

We are currently actively recruiting for the position of Deputy Fire Chief – Employee Safety and Training. The Yellowknife Fire Division is a composite service that operates the City’s ambulance, and fire services. It consists of one station, 36 full-time Fire Fighters/Paramedics, the Fire Chief, two Deputy Fire Chiefs, and 1 Administrative staff. Under the direction of the Fire Chief, the Deputy Fire Chief, Employee Safety & Training, is responsible for the overall administration of safety and training programs within the Fire Division. This includes being responsible for the planning, organizing, and directing of safety programs and the review, monitoring, and delivery of training required by employees.
