About the Opportunity

• Prepare month-end journal entries and assist with the monthly close process.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts for both corporate and operational ledgers.
• Process pension-related accounts payable transactions and pension contributions.
• Coordinate and process legal invoices for the company and pension fund.
• Serve as the primary backup for the Accounts Payable function across corporate and divisional operations.
• Prepare month-end financial reports and supporting schedules for internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Administer corporate insurance policies while liaising with internal departments and external providers.
• Ensure the confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity of financial records and sensitive information.
• Support accounts payable activities by ensuring timely payments and resolving vendor inquiries in accordance with company policies.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting requirements.
• Support annual internal control compliance and audit activities.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support business initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in special projects and provide support to cross-functional teams as required

About You

• College diploma or post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience , preferably in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles, month-end close activities, and account reconciliations.
• Experience supporting accounts payable processes is an asset.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with ERP systems and automation tools such as Power Query or Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is considered an asset.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team.

Salary Range
$70,000 - $75,000/year
