Job Description

AECOM is seeking a  Senior Regulatory Specialist  to join our team. This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga. 

We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world. 

Major Responsibilities: 

• Performs environmental assessments of Facility Alteration Permit (FAP) applications to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
• Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify, mitigate, and manage environmental risks.
• Engages with relevant agencies on environmental concerns and monitors regulatory changes impacting programs.

Qualifications

​​​​​Minimum Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, at a very minimum: 

• University Degree in related environmental sciences, engineering, or related field + 6 years of experience in a related role in the construction sector.

Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.

Preferred Requirements: 

• Proven experience in achieving environmental permitting outcomes in the infrastructure sector; experience with large, complex programs is an asset.

• Familiarity with municipal, provincial, and federal regulatory requirements, along with experience collaborating with provincial and federal environmental regulatory agencies.

• Expertise in remediation system design, as well as managing, overseeing, and maintaining operations, maintenance, and monitoring activities.

• Strong technical proficiency across all project phases, with the ability to leverage data analytics and produce high-quality technical reports.

Additional Information

This position requires work on-site/out of the office 5 days a week.
