About the position: 

As an Account Manager, Mining at Univar Solutions, you will be responsible for all existing accounts within your territory (Thunder Bay/Northwest Ontario Region) and be tasked with leading initiatives that drives business growth. This includes creating and fostering relationships with our existing and potential customers.

Base Location: Thunder Bay, Ontario - surrounding area or Winnipeg. Candidates must reside within the territory or be able to effectively support the region through regular customer visits and business development activities.

Role & Responsabilities:

• Call on established and prospective customers to sell company products and services.
• Proactively plan customer visits 1-2 weeks in advance.
• Serve as the main point of contact in all matters related to client concerns and needs
• Grow our industrial footprint within the Thunder Bay and Northwest region and surrounding markets by meeting with customers consistently to strengthen client relationships.
• Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to key stakeholders
• Co-ordinate with Customer Service and Operations to maintain customer service levels.
• Forecast sales activity and revenue projections on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Utilize Salesforce.com to manage customer information during all planning phases.
• Recognize and monitor market conditions, trends, and competitor activities.

• Attend periodic team meetings, training sessions, Conferences and business reviews at the Univar Solutions Winnipeg office as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Science, Chemistry, Business, or relevant equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a B2B selling role in a related industry.
• Ability to clearly articulate how proposed solutions meet client business objectives.
• Must be self-motivated and apply emotional intelligence to effectively communicate with internal & external stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of a CRM system.
• Working knowledge of contract terms, principles, and profitability calculations
• Must be willing and able to travel within the assigned territory and attend occasional meetings, conferences and training sessions at the Winnipeg office.

Pay and Benefits:
The annual expected salary range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000 CAD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
