Role Description The Journeyperson Sheet Metal Worker is a full-time, on-site role based in Regina, SK. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components for mechanical systems, including ductwork and related fittings, in commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting drawings and specifications, measuring and cutting materials, operating metalworking machinery, and using appropriate hand tools and welding equipment as required. The Journeyperson Sheet Metal Worker will collaborate with project managers, and other trades to complete installations, repairs, and maintenance safely, on schedule, and in compliance with codes and company standards. The role also includes, following safety procedures, and contributing to a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong sheet metal skills, including layout, fabrication, assembly, and installation.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with hand tools and metalworking tools used in fabrication and installation.
• Candidates should possess welding skills appropriate for structural and mechanical sheet metal work.
• Candidates should possess experience working with sheet metal in mechanical, HVAC, or related environments.
• Red Seal Journeyperson certification in Sheet Metal or equivalent trade qualification.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and mechanical drawings.
• Strong awareness of workplace safety practices and ability to work in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with diverse trades and team members.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, standing, bending, and working at heights or in confined spaces.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in Regina and surrounding area.
