GFL - Sewer Technologies Division
The Industrial Labour for Specialized Services will be working alongside a team of highly trained individuals who handle the company’s most dynamic projects. This individual will be highly motivated, coachable and willing to obtain further training while always displaying a positive attitude.
Key Accountabilities
- Involved with execution of chemical and petroleum transfers including materials handling
- Fully engaged as an entrant, manwatch, or rescue attendant for Confined Space Entry projects inclusive of tank cleanings.
- Involvement with HAZMAT Emergency Response and responding to spills
- Involvement with transloading of railcars (Both liquid and solid products)
- Involvement with railcar cleaning and purging operations
- Involvement with environmental projects and assisting as required
- Involvement with technical rescue services including water response
- Fully engaged with decontamination projects under direction of project leader
- Participation in projects that are deemed out of scope or require more planning and preparation
- Willingness to lead by example and work safely, ensuring compliance with all GFL’s policies and procedures
- Affiliation and involvement with various divisions, and various work types throughout the company
Requirements
- Physically fit
- Able to work long hours
- Able to work out of town from time to time
- Meticulous, organized and motivated
- Able to problem solve and trouble shoot
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Able to take direction and follow through on instructions
- Mechanically inclined
- Vacuum truck and power washing would be an asset
- Specialized training provided by GFL
