SAP S/4 HANA CO Consultant
Location: Calgary, AB (on-site).
Contract: 6+ months.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering workshops – presenting standard SAP process flows, conduct system demonstrations, and providing insight on how standard SAP processes can support a customer’s business processes.
- Lead demonstrations of S4HANA on‑prem and S4HANA Cloud functionality.
- Configure SAP systems, test new functionality, and provide ongoing support based on requirements collected.
- Research and document current business processes and provide process improvement recommendations for the business.
- Support cross‑functional business processes in the manufacturing industry.
- Provide leadership in planning/sequencing of customer workshops, and conduct workshops.
- Maintain a high level of functional competency regarding the standard configuration of the Controlling and Finance areas, by staying abreast of recent trends, future enhancements, and leveraging best practices.
- Develop and/or modify end‑user training documentation.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience and hands‑on functional configuration and design experience with SAP Controlling/FICO S/4 HANA implementation.
- Participation in at least two end‑to‑end SAP Controlling (CO) implementations, with at least one implementation as a workstream sub‑lead.
- Experience working with business users to gather requirements specific to SAP FICO processes.
- Knowledge of Controlling processes and principles within the Controlling sub‑modules, including cost element accounting, cost center accounting, profit center accounting, internal orders, product costing, profitability analysis, and material ledger.
- Knowledge of accounting processes and principles within the financial sub‑modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxes, asset management, bank accounting, and lockbox.
- Positive business process knowledge of the manufacturing domain.
- Prior experience in implementation/deployment projects on global projects.
