JACK LONSDALES LIQUOR STORE RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will help create an exceptional shopping experience by providing knowledgeable customer service, maintaining an organized and well-stocked sales floor, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the store.

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment, takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service, and works well both independently and as part of a team.

**MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SUNDAYS**

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and assist customers in a friendly, professional, and approachable manner.
• Provide product recommendations based on customer preferences and answer questions about beer, wine, spirits, and other store products.
• Process cash, debit, and credit card transactions accurately while balancing the till.
• Verify valid government-issued identification and ensure all alcohol sales comply with provincial laws and company policies.
• Restock shelves, coolers, and displays while rotating stock and maintaining attractive product presentations.
• Receive, organize, and put away deliveries.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor, storage areas, and checkout counters.
• Monitor product availability on UBER, DOORDASH and SKIPTHEDISHES tablets.
• Assist with wine displays and price changes.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient store operations and excellent customer service.
• Follow all company policies, health and safety procedures, and responsible liquor retailing practices.

What We’re Looking For

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset but not required.
• Cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Comfortable working weekends, and holidays as required.
• Serving It Right certification (or willingness to obtain before starting employment).
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Must live near or on the North Shore (North Van/West Van)
