Our client in SE Calgary is seeking a well-organized, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their team in a full-time, permanent capacity! This role supports the accounting team by assisting with day-to-day financial activities, including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reconciliations. Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices and vendor payments.
- Monitor daily cash position and initiate transfers as needed.
- Prepare and record bank deposits.
- Reconcile the company credit card and expense reports.
- Assist with month-end procedures and reporting.
- Assist with internal and external audits as required.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business, or a related field, or one year of experience in an accounting role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic, motivation, and a proactive approach.
