Job Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor of Oral Health, the Dental Case Coordinator administers provincial and regional dental financial assistance programs through client assessment, navigation and claims administration.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Administers dental financial assistance programs by: assessing client eligibility, navigating clients to access dental care, issuing claim forms, reviewing pre-determinations and claim submissions, processing payments, monitoring case files to completion, and ensuring accuracy of client records.
• Provides excellent customer service to all clients, including: citizens, eligible clients and their families, community dental providers and schools.
• Works collaboratively with, and provides support to Oral Health clinical and health promotion staff and other team members and projects as required.
• Enters client information into databases including SAMS, OHISS, Excel and Siebel.
• Responds to customer inquiries and concerns.
• Coordinates dental screening appointments at Health Department clinics, and tele-screening appointments
• Involved in all aspects of case-management and follow-ups from communal and tele-screenings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential

• Post-secondary education in dental assisting, business administration, or social services, with dental office experience, or experience with a public health dental program.
• Excellent organizational, customer service and conflict resolution skills to handle complex customer/client inquiries.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Great attention to detail.
• Must be a team player who has experience with maintaining privacy and confidentiality of client records.
• Must demonstrate competency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred

• Experience with SAMS, OHISS and Siebel databases.
• Fluency in an additional language.
