About the Opportunity
A Toronto law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to provide administrative and file-management support to its lawyers. This is a great fit for an assistant who enjoys variety and wants to work in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, format, and proofread correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents
Manage lawyers' calendars, deadlines, and file organization
Open, maintain, and close client files in accordance with firm procedures
Liaise with clients, courts, and other law firms as needed
Handle billing, docketing, and general administrative support
Qualifications
Legal Assistant diploma or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience as a legal assistant
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
Professional demeanor and strong written/verbal communication skills
