Political Science Teaching Assistant POL2104

Support Introduction to Comparative Politics as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Ottawa’s Main Campus, working in person and English.
This specific-course appointment supports POL2104 during the 2027 Winter Semester. The course examines comparative political phenomena across historical, cultural, and institutional contexts. Work may include teaching assistance, discussion groups, marking papers and exams, and office hours with students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teaching for Introduction to Comparative Politics
- Lead or support discussion groups
- Mark papers and examinations
- Hold office hours for student meetings
- Meet supervisor deadlines and attend lectures when requested
Requirements:
- Availability to work in person at Main Campus
- Availability to travel to the University of Ottawa campus
- Ability to work in English
- Availability Mondays and Wednesdays during scheduled course times
- Priority determined under CUPE collective agreement articles 18.5 and 18.6
Contribute to POL2104 through teaching assistance, student support, discussion groups, and assessment activities at Ottawa’s University of Ottawa.
