Inclusive Recreation Facilitator for Summer Camp

Work as an Inclusive Recreation Facilitator with Autism Nova Scotia’s Summer Camp in Mulgrave, NS, focusing on fostering an inclusive environment for autistic campers. This full-time role supports personal care and engagement. In this role, you will work directly with campers, providing personalized support throughout their camp experience. You'll assist with personal care, engage in activities, and enable social interactions. Flexibility is essential, particularly during training and the last week of camp. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated one-on-one support throughout the day
- Assist with personal and sensory regulation needs
- Ensure inclusion and engagement in all activities
- Protect the health and dignity of campers
- Support social communication among peers
- Secondary education or related degree in progress
- Experience supporting autistic individuals valued
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- First Aid Certification required or to be obtained
- Necessary background checks including Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry
