Freight Coordinator at FMi Logistics

Elevate your career as a Freight Coordinator (Carrier) at FMi Logistics, supporting freight operations in Eastern Canada. Manage shipping logistics, cultivate relationships with carriers, and ensure timely deliveries. In this key role, you will be integral to our freight operations team under the Eastern Regional Manager. Your tasks include calculating competitive rates, coordinating shipments, and negotiating with carriers to facilitate seamless service. Additionally, you will monitor shipments, identify growth opportunities, and assist in strategic planning for business development. Key Responsibilities:

Secure freight with competitive rate calculations
Coordinate shipments with shippers and carriers
Negotiate Rail intermodal, FTL, and LTL rates
Monitor shipments ensuring delivery timelines are met
Process freight claims and confirm charges

Requirements:

2+ years of Freight Coordination experience
Knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Strong client-focused service skills
Ability to manage multiple projects independently
Innovative thinking for process improvements
