Assistant General Manager of Operations

Lead operations excellence and safety as an Assistant General Manager with CPKC in Vaughan, Ontario. This senior leadership role oversees Intermodal and Automotive Operations, driving efficiency and quality. As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of operations within your territory. You are responsible for providing strategic direction, leading safety initiatives, and optimizing asset utilization. Collaborating closely with the Vice President, you'll implement policies and ensure every department meets performance standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver visionary leadership for operational excellence and safety
- Drive strategic initiatives to enhance service quality
- Act as liaison for resolving escalated operational issues
- Oversee project management and continuous improvement
- Manage performance and development for team leaders
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
- 10+ years of leadership experience in logistics or transportation
- Valid driver’s license and passport for travel
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to lead diverse teams and foster accountability
