Inpatient Physiotherapist for Stroke Rehabilitation
Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre
Join an interprofessional team as a Physiotherapist specializing in stroke rehabilitation. This role focuses on patient assessments, care plans, and education for effective community discharge. As part of the stroke and oncology rehabilitation team, you'll conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized care plans. Your expertise in stroke and neurological rehabilitation will guide evaluations and adjustments to treatment as needed. Collaboration with team members is vital for quality enhancement and coordinated patient care. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify patient needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on rehabilitation processes
- Supervise Physiotherapist Assistants and volunteers
- Facilitate clinical teaching for students enrolled in PT programs
- Degree from a recognized Physiotherapy program
- Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- One year of clinical stroke rehabilitation experience
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Intermediate French speaking is preferred
