Stroke Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist

Deliver stroke and neuro rehabilitation care as an Occupational Therapist with Providence Healthcare in Toronto, using assessment and treatment expertise. This is permanent part-time work.

Unity Health Toronto seeks an Occupational Therapist for Providence Healthcare’s Stroke and Neuro Rehabilitation program. You will assess and treat impaired occupational performance through meaningful self-care, productivity, and leisure activities. Services include consultation, discharge planning, patient education, and family support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and treat patients with impaired occupational performance
• Provide consultation, discharge planning, and occupational therapy education
• Collaborate with interprofessional disciplines for comprehensive patient care
• Identify educational needs among patients and families
• Participate in quality improvement and organizational research

Requirements:

• Current Ontario occupational therapy license in good standing
• Master’s Degree or substantial equivalent in Occupational Therapy
• Current BLS certification or probationary completion
• MoCA certification or probationary completion when required
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
