SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for acquiring and developing new business leads;
• Prepare/ enter quotes/proposals and/or other sales initiatives in the tracking system;
• Respond to RFQ’s (Request for Quotes) by researching cost and market pricing;
• Research/ track in house surplus inventory, gather all documentation and upload in the inventory system;
• Responsible to research vendors, issue purchase and/ or repair orders and ensure timely follow up;
• Create and prepare invoices for related sales orders, ensuring that all applicable taxes and charges have been captured;
• Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects;
• Ensure that all communication with new or existing customers is logged into a CRM system;
• Prepare and analyze data to build a sales pipeline, u pdate and maintain the sales department database;
• Offer professional, effective and efficient solutions for customer inquiries including internal/external concerns;
• Provide guidance on price competitiveness;
• Participating in trade shows or associated product meetings when necessary;
• Other duties/tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Post-secondary education in a Business related field;
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industry experience;
• Basic MS Office suite, Outlook and Acrobat experience is required;
• Very detail oriented with a focus on process improvement;
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills;
• Ability to interpret and analyze sales data;
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Excellent selling and negotiation skills;
• Good presentation skills and ability to multitask;
• Excellent communication and client management skills;
• Occasional travel required.
