Coordinator of complementary services

Characteristic functions:
Reporting to the Director and Assistant Director of Educational Services, the Coordinator of Complementary Services coordinates, supervises, and develops activities related to the complementary services of the school board. Their specific responsibilities are to:
- Coordinate the development, implementation and improvement of services and management tools to support school teams in complex situations involving students with special needs, service breakdowns, transitions, external partnerships and the continuum of collaboration.
- Participate in regional meetings related to the complementarity agreement between the education sector and the health and social services sector; Coordinate participation in local tables and ensure that information is shared with school teams, as appropriate.
- Collaborate with educational services managers in the development and implementation of educational pathways, specialized programs, special projects, for general education for young people, general adult education and vocational training.
- Participate in the development of the school board's orientations and strategies with respect to complementary services and collaborate in the development of the annual action plan.
- Supporting school teams in the implementation, optimization and maintenance of their structures and intervention systems.
- Support the team of professionals in support of students in their duties, according to the training, support and accompaniment needs of the school teams.
- Participate in the development of the complementary service offer to support regular and specialized class workers as well as school board professionals and managers.
- Participate in grant application, writing and reporting on projects associated with complementary services initiatives.
- Participate in the coordination of allowances for the integration of students with disabilities or social difficulties, in the process of implementing individualized education plans and TÉVA (transition from school to working life), and in committees related to complementary services (joint committee, SNAC (special needs advisory committee), etc.)
- Facilitate networking with various provincial partners.
- Facilitate, when required, the transmission of any relevant information to the school board's managers.
- Represent, upon request, the school board or administrative unit on matters relating to its sector of activity.
- Collaborate with the managers of the educational services on mobilizing projects and files, in direct support of the school management.
- Be a stakeholder and collaborator in the Commitment to Success Plan
