A premier North American building materials manufacturer is expanding operational lines at its Mississauga facility. We are seeking a Production Shift Supervisor (TSSA 4th or 3rd Class) to serve as a key operational leader on our straight day shift.

In this dynamic, high-autonomy role, you will lead a dedicated crew of machine operators while taking regulatory ownership of a modern, high-efficiency industrial boiler footprint. You will work closely alongside a supportive Plant Superintendent who values mentorship, modern leadership, and continuous floor improvement.

Responsibilities
Floor Leadership & Production Execution (~60% of daily role)
People Management: Direct, mentor, and schedule a crew of machine operators across high-speed packaging, extrusion, and material processing lines.

Operational Targets: Monitor hourly production output, minimize downtime, enforce strict safety standards (LOTO, WHMIS), and maintain a positive, team-first culture.

Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with engineering to refine daily line workflows and optimize cycle times.

TSSA Compliance & Utility Operations (~40% of daily role)
System Ownership: Safely operate, monitor, and log steam boilers, compressors, and auxiliary utilities in full compliance with TSSA regulations.

Water Chemistry & Logs: Execute daily/weekly PM checks, blowdowns, and water sampling analysis; maintain flawless shift logbooks.

Safety Compliance: Ensure all utility operations adhere strictly to provincial environmental and safety guidelines.

Qualifications
Valid TSSA Ticket: Must hold an active 4th Class or 3rd Class Operating / Power Engineer Certificate issued by the TSSA (Non-negotiable requirement).

Leadership Experience: 2+ years supervising, leading, or acting as a shift lead over operators in a manufacturing, food processing, packaging, or industrial production setting.

Utility Familiarity: Hands-on experience with industrial steam loops, boiler operations, and basic water treatment protocols.

Leadership Style: Excellent communication skills with a modern, supportive leadership approach (mentoring over transactional management).
