Line and Prep Cook

We are looking for a passionate Line / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team at Birdies Eats & Drinks . Our ideal candidate takes pride in great food, works well as part of a team, and brings a desire to learn, grow, and contribute to an excellent guest experience.
Whether you’re an experienced cook or looking to take the next step in your culinary career, we’re looking for someone who is reliable, curious, and excited to be part of a fun, supportive kitchen environment.
As a Line / Prep Cook, you will:
- Prepare and execute food to Birdies standards, with a focus on quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Work alongside the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Complete daily prep while maintaining proper food handling, organization, and cleanliness.
- Follow recipes, preparation methods, and kitchen standards to ensure consistent product quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station throughout your shift.
- Support your fellow team members during busy services and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.
- Be a problem solver and supportive team player who communicates clearly and works well under pressure.
- Continue developing your culinary skills through hands-on experience, coaching, and mentorship.
- Share your passion for food and hospitality by contributing to an exceptional customer experience.
What we need from you:
- Previous culinary, line cook, or prep cook experience is an asset, but a willingness to learn is just as important .
- A passion for food and a commitment to teamwork, quality, and fun.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A willingness to learn and an openness to feedback, coaching, and mentorship.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- The ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Food Safe Level 1 certification is a bonus.
- The ability to legally work in Canada.
