Lead Embedded Architect at Q-Block Computing

Elevate your career as a Senior Embedded Systems Architect with Q-Block Computing, located in Ottawa, ON. Enhance quantum technology through your architectural expertise in embedded systems. This full-time position involves the critical task of shaping firmware architecture and establishing robust subsystems for distributed control in quantum applications. You will guide embedded technology decisions, mentor a tech team, and ensure scalability, performance, and reliability in firmware development. Your significant experience in embedded systems architecture will be instrumental in engineering high-quality products. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead architectural definition for firmware systems
- Develop interface specifications for effective communication
- Assess microcontroller options and scheduling strategies
- Architect reusable firmware frameworks and abstraction layers
- Direct code reviews and uphold engineering standards
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in applicable engineering field
- 8+ years in embedded system design and at least 3 in leadership
- Expertise in C/C++ for complex embedded platforms
- Strong knowledge of ARM architecture and real-time systems
- Proven mentoring and leadership experience in engineering
