IT network Support Specialist

Job Responsibility:

What You Bring :

• Minimum 2 years of experience as IT Support / Network Administrator - with preferred experience in Trucking industry.
• Strong Security Experience required.
• Strong knowledge of VMware (vSphere, ESXi, etc.) and Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Install and support LANs, WANs, VoIP, network segments and intranet systems
• Monitor networks to ensure security, connectivity and availability.
• Support and troubleshoot VMware environments and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Specify system requirements and design solutions
• Ensure network connectivity throughout the company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations
• Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services
• Maintain network facilities on individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers and/or printers
• Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems
• Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smart phones, software deployment, security updates and patches, Microsoft office, internet browsers
• Establish network specifications; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols
• Evaluate network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughout and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing the equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls. Testing network and identify weaknesses
• Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation
• Upgrades network by working with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements, install and maintain network hardware and software
• Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
• Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN's remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired
• Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
• Experience in installation of GPS devices on trucks/trailers is preferred
