Our client, manufacturing in the stone fabrication industry, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector-Stone Products to join their team. As a Quality Control Inspector-Stone Products, you will be part of the production support team. The ideal candidate will have keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Quality Control Inspector-Stone Products
Location: Mount Uniacke, NS
Pay Range: Depepnds on Experience
Shift: 45 hrs/week, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
What's the Job?
- Inspect slabs before the first cut for cracks, chips, colour, pattern, fading, thickness, and lot match, rejecting unsuitable material.
- Check incoming material at receiving against packing lists, photograph, and quarantine defective items.
- Review work orders, drawings, edge profiles, and cutouts against staged material.
- Run and verify first-piece inspections at saw, CNC, and polishing cells, rechecking after any changes.
- Perform final inspection before shipment, ensuring dimensions, finish, chips, count, and labeling meet standards.
What's Needed?
- Two or more years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or construction, preferably in stone or countertop industries.
- Inspection, quality experience, or hands-on production experience with a sharp eye for detail and finish.
- Ability to read work orders and shop drawings, and measure accurately with tapes, squares, and calipers.
- Strong communication skills to document defects clearly and respectfully.
- Organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple tasks across different work cells.
