Execulink Telecom is looking for a Systems Administrator to join our team and help support the platforms, infrastructure, and services that keep our customers connected every day.

You'll get exposure to a wide range of technologies and hands-on responsibility across SIP, TDM, Linux, virtualization, monitoring, and vendor integrations. Position Details:

• Woodstock, ON
• Permanent, Full-Time
• On-site Hybrid
• Required 3 days in office each week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
• Hours of Work

• Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Overnight maintenance, on-call support coverage and traveling to Data Centre & Central Offices throughout Southwestern Ontario including the GTA is a requirement for this position
• Coordinate coverage with other staff when their duties require off-site work
• Will support on-call staff by offering coverage when they are not able to provide it

• Responsible for the design, configuration, implementation and ongoing support of systems equipment and services that create and support the products that Execulink offers
• Responsible for proper design, installation and maintenance of all systems infrastructure and new products and services
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues reported from staff or from monitoring systems, acting as the final point of escalation for the business
• Pursuing support with third parties as required
• Performing on-site work when required at any location where supported equipment is located
• Reviewing/creating documentation including design drawings and training other staff to work with the tools and services provided
• Software updates of relevant systems
• Development of new services and technologies
• Develop in-depth understanding of third-party tools, and work around gaps in functionality as required
• Administer and maintain the Metaswitch voice platform (call control, media gateways and application servers) supporting both SIP-based and traditional TDM voice services
• Provision, troubleshoot and maintain SIP trunks, session border controllers, and SIP- and MGCP-based customer endpoints and integrated access devices
• Maintain TDM interconnects and trunking (SS7, PRI/DS1) with carriers and legacy equipment, and support migration of TDM services to SIP
• Support carrier voice obligations including 911/E911 routing, local number portability and number inventory, and caller ID/CNAM
• Ensure accurate call detail record (CDR) collection and delivery to billing and fraud-monitoring systems
• Perform voice quality and call-flow analysis using SIP traces, packet captures and platform diagnostics
• This position will have access to confidential customer data
• Other duties as assigned

HR Responsibilities include:

• College or University is preferred. Demonstrable significant experience may be considered with minimum of High School Diploma
• Valid Class G Driver's License and access to reliable transportation
• Requires education and/or experience demonstrating a capacity to learn complex concepts and apply them in real-world situations
• CompTIA Linux+ certification required
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) preferred
• Certified OpenStack Administrator (COA) preferred
• Extensive experience with Linux KVM preferred
• Experience with Ansible automation preferred
• Experience with SNMP-based monitoring systems including Nagios, Zabbix, MRTG
• Experience with SIP-based and TDM voice services required
• Experience administering a carrier voice platform required; Metaswitch experience strongly preferred
• Project and vendor management experience preferred
• Experience supporting multi-vendor technologies across edge, access and core networks preferred
• Successful candidates are required to complete clear criminal background screening

• In-depth knowledge of all vendors utilized, including but not limited to Metaswitch, OpenStack, Polycom, Cisco, and customer-premise equipment vendors such as Calix and Arris
• In-depth knowledge of all technologies utilized, including but not limited to SIP, MGCP, TDM (SS7, PRI), Multicast, HLS, DASH, MoCA, virtualization (KVM), SMTP, DNS, DHCP, Ethernet, Wi-Fi access points, ACLs, PPP-based services and TCP/IP
• Working knowledge of access and core networking (optical, OSPF, BGP) as it pertains to the delivery of services
• Ability to learn new products and technologies from new vendors rapidly
• Responsible for maintaining a broad level of hardware, software, cloud and network security measures knowledge covering all equipment and technologies managed by the department
• Responsible for maintaining a high level of knowledge in specific areas as designated by the Supervisor and Manager
• Network diagramming proficiency
• Share responsibility for optimizations to control costs and maximize network performance
• Expected to highlight new technologies that may benefit the business
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Exceptional knowledge of vendor-provided tools
• Demonstrated ability to document all types of work performed as Standard Operating Procedures
• Analysis of packet captures, SIP traces and other in-depth data at the protocol level
• Requires good communication skills interacting with persons with various levels of technical skills and knowledge
