The NNDSB invites applications for the following LTO position commencing September 2, 2026 until the early return of the teacher.

Position

• 0.5 Differentiated Learning Resource Teacher and 0.5 Prep Teacher (1.0 FTE)

Required teaching qualifications

• A valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
• A valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers
• Primary and Junior Qualifications
• Special Education Part 1
Special Education Specialist considered an asset
• Experience with EQAO considered an asset
• Experience with Literacy and/or Numeracy intervention programs considered an asset

Position Criteria

• Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents
• Demonstrated experience with Apple based software and Mobile devices (iPad/MacBook/iMac)
• Evidence of understanding of varied learners with a focus on ‘at-risk’ students
• Evidence of supporting Literacy and Numeracy from a whole school perspective
• Evidence of integration of technology for the documentation and evaluation of student work ·
• Ability to work as part of a school team and to communicate effectively
• Demonstrated ability to utilize EDSBY to support student learning and guardian communication
