HCR Permanent Search is working with a top-tier manufacturer specializing in custom metal fabrication for heavy-duty industrial applications. They are searching for a Program Manager to oversee projects from initial launch through to final production.
Work Setting: On Site
Location Details: Cambridge
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 6 years of experience working for a manufacturing company
- 2 years of experience as a Program Manager working for a company that has weld manufacturing processes within a custom metal machining shop.
- Proven background in managing multiple projects involving welding
- Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering; P.Eng designation is preferred.
- Strong understanding of process optimization, and quality control in a weld environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead end-to-end project management for custom-built heavy machinery.
- Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams across engineering, design, and manufacturing.
- Manage technical documentation, engineering changes, project milestones, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop and implement work instructions, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory standards.
- Promote continuous improvement in welding and fabrication processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with external auditors and ensure all certifications, especially welding-related, are current.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to internal engineering and manufacturing teams.
