Description & Scope

The Finance Manager plays a key leadership role within the Finance team of a global manufacturing organization. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data, supporting month-end and year-end closes, overseeing the accounts payable team, and driving continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate has strong SAP experience, demonstrates a hands-on approach, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. Experience as an SAP project lead or in ERP transitions (e.g., S/4HANA) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor two AP Clerks, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and balanced workloads.
• Develop and maintain standardized accounting processes and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (banks, auditors, insurers).
• Support CFO with financial reporting, audits, and process improvements.
• Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts, including FX analysis and currency requirements.
• Manage EFT, ACH, and wire payments across multi-entity operations.
• Oversee payment processing, remittances, and supporting documentation review.
• Perform FX analysis, monthly revaluations, and reporting (monthly/YTD).
• Reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger and prepare monthly account reconciliations.
• Manage AR/AP, intercompany, prepaid, accruals, and duty receivables reconciliations.
• Assist with year-end audits to ensure compliance with controls and regulations.
• Maintain insurance documentation and vendor/credit setup accuracy.
• Leverage SAP to enhance automation, visibility, and process efficiency.
• Support system enhancements, ERP projects, and process improvements.
• Drive digitization and streamline financial processes.
• Support expense reimbursement processes and documentation requirements.
• Coordinate cross-border asset movements and special finance projects.

Qualifications

• CPA designation (or in progress) preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of SAP (FICO module essential; project lead experience a strong asset).
• Experience in manufacturing and multi-entity environment.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven track record of process improvement and ERP integration success.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive approach.
• Strong sense of accountability and follow-through.
• Ability to balance daily transactional oversight with project leadership.
• Collaborative mindset with the confidence to drive process standardization.
