Role Overview: Breathing Life into D&D Universes
As a Senior 3D Gameplay Animator at Gameloft, you will serve as a driving force behind character performance and movement. Your core mission is to craft high-quality, visually stunning animations for stylized characters and mythical creatures, ensuring every step, strike, and interaction feels responsive and alive.
Working shoulder-to-shoulder with Creative and Animation Directors, you will bridge the gap between artistic expression and technical execution. Whether you are constructing complex blend trees in Unity, smoothing out procedural animation pipelines, or mentoring junior talent, your work will directly define the feel and immersion of our next-gen D&D experience.
What You’ll Do:
Create dynamic, polished animations for characters and creatures
⚙️ Assist in building and managing animation systems in Unity
️ Identify & resolve technical and artistic challenges
Collaborate with designers, artists, and programmers to achieve gameplay goals
Verify animation quality, performance, and integration in-game
Mentor Intermediate & Junior Animators
Document workflows, best practices, and techniques for team consistency
Must-Have Skills:
✅ 5+ years experience in 3D gameplay animation for PC/Console
✅ Strong Unity expertise & knowledge of animation pipelines
✅ Deep understanding of animation principles : weight, timing, anticipation
✅ Experience with stylized characters and dynamic gameplay animations
✅ Rigging, retargeting, blend trees, and procedural animation knowledge
✅ Team player with strong communication & mentoring skills
Nice to Have:
✨ Motion capture integration or procedural animation experience
✨ Familiarity with Maya, Blender, MotionBuilder, or Houdini
✨ AAA or indie game development background
