This is a fantastic opportunity to become a Member of our Business Consulting team providing leading information technology services to our clients. We are seeking a Data & AI Strategy Consultant.

To be successful in this role, you will be a hands-on consultant who bridges business, data, and AI. You will work independently on defined workstreams, seamlessly translating strategy into execution, and communicating effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Data & AI Strategy

• Support and lead parts of strategy engagements
• Translate business goals into data/AI capabilities and roadmaps
• Conduct current state and maturity assessments
• Identify and prioritize use cases and build business cases
• Build prioritized roadmaps for implementation of use cases

Data & AI Governance

• Design and implement governance frameworks
• Define roles (ownership, stewardship) and processes
• Establish data quality, metadata, and lineage practices
• Support AI governance (risk, ethics, responsible AI)

Delivery & Execution

• Own workstreams end-to-end with minimal supervision
• Produce high-quality deliverables (decks, roadmaps, models)
• Manage stakeholders and communicate progress
• Identify risks and propose solutions

Collaboration

• Work with business, data, and technology teams
• Translate between technical and non-technical audiences
• Contribute to reusable assets and best practices

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 3–6 years in data, analytics, or AI consulting roles
• Experience supporting or leading data/AI strategy work
• Exposure to governance implementation (not just design)
• Strong problem structuring and ability to translate business needs into data/AI strategies
• Experience contributing to or leading data/AI strategy and governance engagements
• Sufficient understanding of data platforms and modern data architectures (e.g., lakehouse, cloud)
• Practical knowledge of data governance (ownership, stewardship, data quality, metadata, policies)
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and responsible AI / model governance basics
• Ability to design and operationalize frameworks (not just create slides)
• Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
• Clear, concise communication for both technical and business audiences
• Working knowledge of SQL and ability to engage effectively with engineering teams
• Self-directed, able to manage ambiguity and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision
• Experience with governance tools

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $75,000 to $145,000.
