Sr. Business System Analyst (Cloud Migration/API)

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Business System Analyst (Cloud Migration/API). This position involves leading critical modernization initiatives, focusing on migrating branch hardware, databases, and authentication systems to the cloud to enhance efficiency, scalability, and operational agility.
Pay rate range (CAD): $68.00/hr – $76.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Act as a Product Owner, managing the development and delivery of cloud migration initiatives
- Collaborate closely with business and technology teams to gather requirements and manage stakeholder expectations
- Write clear, detailed user stories that accurately reflect project needs
- Translate complex technical concepts into understandable business language for non-technical stakeholders
- Lead discussions, clarify priorities, and ensure project alignment across teams
- Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills and make informed decisions under limited information
- Adapt to evolving project needs, ensuring timely delivery of project components
- Participate in interviews and collaborative sessions to support project progression
Desired Skill-Set
- Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably in cloud migration projects
- Strong understanding of API integration and cloud platforms
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to write user stories and technical documentation
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical language into business terms
- Quick thinking with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Experience working in financial services or regulated environments is an asset
Nice to Have
- Previous experience acting as a Product Owner
- Knowledge of branch hardware devices, databases, and authentication systems
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools
- Previous exposure to modernization projects within banking or financial institutions
