Senior Manager Capital Markets Trading

Lead capital markets trading and derivatives in Edmonton with the Alberta Public Service, overseeing debt issuance, liquidity, and investment operations.The Ministry of Treasury Board and Finance seeks a Senior Manager reporting to the Director, Financing. You will lead capital markets professionals, support provincial financing, and provide strategic and operational advice on debt management. The work covers trading, derivatives, borrowing, and portfolio risk.Key Responsibilities:
Lead a small team of capital markets professionalsOversee trading desk activities and execute transactionsDevelop debt issuance and derivative strategiesEvaluate and execute domestic and international borrowing opportunitiesMonitor debt portfolio performance and risk exposuresRequirements:
University graduation in a related field such as FinanceSix years of progressively responsible experienceKnowledge of short-term debt issuance and liquidity managementUnderstanding of debt management processes and portfolio constraintsComprehensive knowledge of derivativesApply capital markets leadership, trading expertise, and derivatives knowledge to support Alberta’s financing and debt management activities.
