Manager, Financing Solutions - Real Estate Group

A career as a Manager, Financing Solutions - Real Estate in the Commercial Banking team means working closely with Real Estate Account Managers and several internal and external partners as a credit and real estate financing expert. In this role, you'll have a direct impact on clients and colleagues by leveraging your expertise in commercial real estate financing and your understanding of the real estate market.

• Structure and recommend financing solutions for commercial real estate clients by assessing opportunities, mitigating risk, and tailoring solutions to client needs.
• Conduct in-depth credit and financial analyses of income-producing properties, development projects, construction financing, and real estate investment portfolios.
• Partner closely with Real Estate Account Managers and internal stakeholders to identify financing opportunities and support business growth.
• Negotiate credit terms and conditions with Credit Risk Management and present well-structured recommendations aligned with the Bank's risk appetite.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and real estate financing expert by monitoring market trends, identifying sector risks, and supporting the development of team expertise.

Within Commercial Banking, you are part of a team dedicated to serving commercial real estate clients, including investors, developers, property owners, and operators. You are surrounded by a network of experts across financing, risk management, treasury, and specialized advisory teams who work together to deliver tailored solutions and an exceptional client experience.

Reporting to the Vice-President, Real Estate Financing, you will be part of the Vancouver Real Estate team and support a diversified portfolio of commercial real estate clients, including investors, developers, and property owners across British Columbia. Based in Vancouver, you will work closely with Account Managers and industry partners to support business development opportunities and deliver tailored financing solutions. Occasional travel within the region may be required for client meetings, site visits, and team activities.

• A bachelor's degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience, OR a master's degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience, OR an undergraduate diploma from the National Bank University Program and 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in commercial real estate financing.
• Experience analyzing financial statements, rent rolls, property operating statements, and real estate development or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate markets and financing structures.
• Negotiation experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to collaborate effectively and provide well-reasoned recommendations.
