Legal Advisor - First Nations Financial Board
First-Nations-Financial-Management-Board
Become the Legal Advisor for the First Nations Financial Management Board, where you'll shape legal strategies and support Indigenous communities. This role combines hybrid work flexibility with impactful governance.
As an essential team member, you'll safeguard compliance and offer legal insight to the Board. With a strong foundation in public policy and corporate governance, your expertise will facilitate ethical decision-making and organizational efficiency. Your proactive approach will help in drafting vital agreements while managing relationships with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise on legal compliance and risk management
• Coordinate Board governance activities and support decision-making
• Draft and review essential legal documents
• Liaise with external advisors and regulators
• Promote a culture of integrity and accountability
Requirements:
• Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB with Law Society membership
• 10+ years of experience in legal counsel roles
• Experience with Indigenous governance and policies
• Strong writing and communication skills in English
• Willingness to travel as needed
