Nanny Wanted - Searching For A Part Time Nanny (30 Hours) Starting In Sept/Oct In Mount Pleasant, Vancouver

Hello! We are seeking a nanny and all-around household helper for 30 hours a week for our family of four in Riley Park/Mt Pleasant. We need someone who is kind, playful, energetic, and able to help us keep our household running smoothly! Shifts and Start Date We are looking for approximately 25-30 hours a week, split across 4-5 weekdays. Early morning and some evening availability are required (i.e. shifts could be 7am-12pm, 1-7pm), and the hours are flexible for the right person. Ideal start date is end of September/early October. About Us Our son is five and starting grade one in September, and our little girl just turned one. We value kindness, empathy, and play! Our home is walkable to everything and close to public transit. Who We’re Looking For - Flexible: Your time will be split between caring for our one-year-old, caring for our five year old, caring for both kids, and supporting our household operations (meal prep, cooking, laundry, tidying, errands, etc.). Energetic: Our five-year-old is active and high-energy, and we’re looking for someone to keep up!

• A Self-Starter: You’re always one step ahead of us and once you learn about our family, you’re able to complete tasks without needing direction.
• Someone to Integrate into Our Family: Neither of our families live in Vancouver, so we’re looking for someone to be part of our village and fully jump in to help us run our home.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Caring for our one year old: play, make meals, put down for naps, go on outings.
• Drop off/pick up our son from school (walking distance from our home) and play with him after school.
• Caring for both children at once.
• Meal prep for our family and kids, including dinner meal prep and baking/cooking kids' snacks.
• Light housekeeping: kids' laundry, sweeping endless crumbs, tidying toys and play area, dishwasher/dishes, ordering and putting away groceries, organizing toys/drawers/shelves. We have a house cleaner, so no significant cleaning will be asked of you.

Requirements

• Experience working with children aged 1 to 6.
• Legally able to work in Canada. We pay $25-30 per hour and offer a $250 retention bonus every six months.
• First Aid and CPR required. We will pay for you to update it if needed.
• Criminal checks and references required.
• We’re looking for a minimum 12-month commitment.
• A vehicle and driver’s license are NOT required.
