Director, Advocacy and Policy Strategy

Strategically influence federal policy as the Director for Universities Canada. Lead impactful advocacy initiatives to enhance higher education through informed government relations. Reporting to the Vice-President of Public Affairs, you will translate strategic priorities into evidence-based policy positions, ensuring rigorous accountability and execution across advocacy initiatives. Your expertise in navigating legislative processes will be vital for successful organizational outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive advocacy through federal policy development
- Lead effective execution of government relations strategies
- Shape policies in alignment with key governmental cycles
- Produce and present high-quality policy documentation
- Ensure compliance with government opacity and ethics
- Degree in public policy or similar field
- 8+ years in governmental or political roles
- Experience managing multi-faceted policy areas
- Proven ability to analyze complex policy issues
- Bilingualism is preferable
