Role: Regional Key Account Manager Location: Markham Office; Hybrid 3 days a week. The Regional Key Account Manager I is responsible for achieving sales objectives and targets within a defined account base while communicating the YETI brand story, presenting product, and building strong trade channel relationships. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with a network of national key account and independent retail partners in Southern Ontario by establishing regular buyer contact, attending meetings, executing market visits, building a marketing calendar, diligently capturing commitments, and following through all the way to execution. Help to establish respect and confidence with customers. Build and strengthen relationships across purchasing, planning and account marketing teams.
- Business planning and forecasting to support strategic selling plan.
- Lead regular business meeting with various accounts including meeting preparation, POS/Ship data analysis, action plans and appropriate follow ups.
- Develop and drive strategic plans to meet or exceed revenue goals. Have high engagement with customers to collaborate and partner during the planning process.
- Manage assignments such that business opportunities are identified, and plans are in place to realize them in both digital and bricks and mortar.
- Accountable for all sales planning and item forecasting for multiple channel accounts
- Lead regular interactions with National Sales Manager and extended YETI teams to support and enhance the business. Review weekly reports, customer sales and marketing programs and other data as necessary. Recommend solutions and actions to achieve account plans plus YETI goals. Build relationships within multiple levels of the customer organization.
- Develop and manage collaborative partnerships and ownership of joint business plans with key customers.
- Develop internal and external cross functional, multi-level relationships.
- Collaborate with demand planning team on monthly account level forecasts.
- Ensure adoption and promotion of new YETI Coolers product offering.
- Attending sales meetings, training programs and trade shows as requested
- Managing travel & expenses within a budget
Qualifications and Attributes: - At least 8 years of professional sales experience (Outdoor or sporting goods preferred)
- Proven experience of implementing and executing a go to market process
- Proven experience in building and delivering strong sell in presentation to category managers up to Vice President
- Proven track record in achieving results.
- Ability to establish and deliver on key timelines.
- Proven experience with accurate sales forecasting
- Demonstrable success at creatively solving problems and implementing those solutions.
- Experience working with large multi-rooftop accounts.
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a rapidly changing complex business environment.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to prioritize tasks and scheduling without direction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - ability to communicate to a variety of potential audiences clearly, concisely, and intelligently (Coordinator up to Vice President)
- Exceptional ability to analyze the business and POS data.
- Strong sales leader with high level emotional intelligence
- Must be able to form lasting relationships.
- Competitive, self-confident and growth oriented
- High Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Residency in GTA required (Markham based)
- Must be willing and able to travel throughout Canada and United States (approximately 40%+)
