Overview

Our consulting client is seeking highly motivated Project Manager with a Technical/Data background to lead strategic initiatives within a large-scale Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) transformation program.

This role will be responsible for driving delivery, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful execution of complex data modernization initiatives. The successful candidate will serve as the central point of coordination across business, technology, data engineering, architecture, analytics, and leadership teams.

The client is transforming its data ecosystem by migrating from a traditional Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) model to a modern, scalable Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) . This initiative is foundational to the organization's data strategy and will enable improved data management, accelerated onboarding of new data sources, enhanced analytics capabilities, and support for emerging AI-driven solutions.

The way that this project will be delivered will be using AI assisted methodology and agentic frameworks and thus an ability to embrace new delivery patterns is key.

The ideal candidate is a tech-centric, data-centric Project Manager with proven experience leading enterprise data programs and managing delivery within complex technical environments. This individual must be a strong communicator, a proactive problem solver, and a delivery-focused leader capable of driving accountability and achieving results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) initiatives and data transformation programs.

• Manage project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, budgets, risks, issues, and resource coordination.

• Adopt AI-assisted delivery methodologies.

• Drive execution across multiple workstreams involving data engineering, architecture, analytics, reporting, governance, and business stakeholders.

• Facilitate the migration and modernization of data assets from legacy Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environments to modern cloud-based platforms.

• Ensure project teams remain accountable for deliverables, timelines, and commitments.

• Identify, escalate, and proactively resolve project risks, issues, and dependencies.

• Coordinate with executive stakeholders and provide clear, concise reporting on project health, progress, and key decisions.

• Facilitate project governance forums, steering committee meetings, and stakeholder communications.

• Partner with data engineering and architecture teams to understand technical requirements and delivery impacts.

• Support Agile delivery practices and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical execution.

• Drive successful implementation and adoption of modern data and analytics capabilities.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes and delivery practices.

MUST HAVE experience managing and delivering large-scale Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) transformation projects.

• Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Project Management experience leading medium-to-large enterprise technology initiatives.

  • Proven experience managing enterprise data, analytics, BI, reporting, or data transformation programs .

  • Experience with AI-assisted delivery and familiarity with topics like Github Copilot and Agentic frameworks is an asset to this role.

  • Strong understanding of data ecosystems, data engineering concepts, and analytics delivery.

  • Experience managing complex projects involving multiple technical and business stakeholder groups.

  • Ability to drive execution, influence stakeholders, and hold teams accountable for delivery commitments.

  • Demonstrated success delivering projects within Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall environments.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience working closely with technical teams including:

    • Data Engineering

    • Data Architecture

    • Business Intelligence

    • Analytics

    • Reporting Teams

  • Strong risk management, dependency management, and issue resolution capabilities.

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large data platforms such as Data Lakes, Data Warehouses or Lakehouses. Project experience working on large-scale data migrations, platform changes or modernizations.

  • Experience managing programs involving Databricks and modern cloud data platforms.

  • Experience working with Azure Data Services, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, or similar technologies.

  • Experience supporting AI, GenAI, Machine Learning, or Agentic AI initiatives.

  • Experience within large enterprise, consulting, financial services, insurance, telecommunications, or public sector environments.

  • PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, SAFe, or equivalent certification is considered an asset.
