- At least 10 years of overall experience across Data and Analytics, Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or related disciplines, including five or more years in Data Engineering.
- At least three years working in a highly senior individual-contributor capacity, such as Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, Data Platform Architect, or a comparable role.
- Deep experience designing, building, and supporting modern data-platform infrastructure, not simply developing ETL pipelines.
- Strong Snowflake, data warehouse, data lake, and advanced SQL expertise.
- Strong AWS knowledge across compute, storage, networking, security, and platform services. Azure or GCP backgrounds may be considered, but AWS is preferred.
- Advanced Python development skills.
- Hands-on experience with Airflow or comparable data-workflow orchestration platforms.
- Strong DevOps and platform engineering capabilities, including:
- CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance
- Infrastructure as Code
- Platform automation
- Monitoring and observability
- Data reliability and SRE practices
- Production troubleshooting and operational support
- Experience integrating data observability, lineage, metadata-management, and data-cataloguing technologies.
- Strong knowledge of data governance and security, including encryption, IAM, role-based access controls, data lineage, metadata management, and secure data-platform design.
- API and event-driven architectures
- Real-time data processing
- Microservices and enterprise application integrations
- Salesforce platforms or Salesforce data integrations
- Loyalty, rewards, retail, or high-volume customer-data environments
- Technical roadmaps and enterprise platform modernization
