Reporting To: Manager, Discover Parks Ambassadors 

Dates: April 20 to September 4, 2026 

Schedule:  Full-time seasonal, 37.5 hours/week

Job location:  Lower Mainland (Hybrid Schedule) 

Purpose: Assist with the smooth operation of the Discover Parks Ambassador program

Role Summary:

The Admin Coordinator supports the operational efficiency of the Discover Parks Ambassador Program by managing key administrative processes, organizing resources, and ensuring teams across the province have what they need to deliver safe, successful programming. This role is essential to enabling Ambassadors and the public to experience parks, programming, and activities responsibly and seamlessly. 

Responsibilities:

• Program Administration & Process Management 
  
  
  
  • Coordinate and maintain accurate administrative processes for the Discover Parks Ambassador program including: 
    
    
    
    • Daily check-ins and check-outs 
    
    
    • Weekly metrics reporting 
    
    
    • Expense reimbursements 
    
    
    • Equipment, uniform, and program supply requests 
    
    
    • Organization and distribution of all digital files & resources stored on Google Drive and SharePoint 
    
    
  
  
  • Conduct regular virtual check-ins with Ambassador teams to review reporting requirements, supply needs, and administrative updates 
  
  
  • Provide guidance to teams and communicate key updates to the Manager 
  
  

• Logistics, Supplies & Equipment 
  
  
  
  • Coordinate the distribution of supplies and equipment to Ambassador teams across the province 
  
  
  • Travel occasionally to parks to visit teams, deliver equipment, and support operations 
  
  


• Scheduling, Coordination & Support 
  
  
  
  • Support the Scheduling Coordinator with related scheduling tasks as needed 
  
  
  • Communicate inter-departmentally to ensure smooth operations and clear workflow between teams 
  
  


• Data Evaluation & Reporting 
  
  
  
  • Support a data-driven research and evaluation system in collaboration with operations staff 
  
  
  • Report on metrics, accomplishments, risks and opportunities 
  
  
  • Recommend improvement to policies, processes, and administrative systems to enhance program efficiency and mitigate risk

  • Build and contribute to respectful relationships with Indigenous peoples 
  
  
  • Maintain positive relationships with BC Parks and other park partners

Requirements:  

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position or related field 


• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, SharePoint etc.


• Strong working knowledge of Google Drive and Google Calendar 


• Experience with inventory management, including shipping and mailing 


• Strong knowledge of BC’s cultural and natural history 


• Personal mobile phone 


• Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for accessing the parks and moving program equipment (preference for a vehicle that can transport large program equipment; collapsible 6ft tents, large totes, tables, etc.) 

Skills and Experience Considered an Asset:  

• Post-secondary education in a related field (can be ongoing) 


• Familiarity with the Discover Parks Ambassador program
