What can you expect?

Maintain the daily operations of the Daycare, ensuring quality service and care to our littlest guests. Tiny Tigers Daycare is licensed to accommodate up to 45 children and has a staff of approximately 8 during peak periods. This position reports to the Daycare Supervisor.

This job might be right for you if you think you would really enjoy:

• Supervising kids in all areas of play & according to sanitary demands & operation policies.
• Responsible for preparing and serving snacks and lunches.
• Organizing and leading arts and crafts activities as well as games.
• Following daily assigned schedule and ensuring that all duties are completed for the day including cleaning daycare facility, supervising the playroom.
• Ensuring that our smallest guests are being attended to in the appropriate manner and to the best of our ability.
• Participating in effective communication with the supervisor about any issues that may arise.
• Adhering to the operating policies as outlined in Social Services and Daycare Employee Manual.
• Manual labor, such as shoveling snow, operating the magic carpet, helping load and unload children onto magic carpet.
• Preparing children for outside play and ski lessons.
• Setting children’s rental skis and complete appropriate paperwork.
• Effective communication with parents or guardians during the time of drop off and pick up.
• Other duties as assigned.

And you have:

• Non-residents will require a visa and medical that enables them to work in childcare.
• Early Childhood Education is an asset.
• Previous experience working with children between the ages of 19 months to 6 years old.
• An energetic and caring personality.
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic.
• Hold a current first aid certificate.
• Maintain confidentiality, privacy and discretion.
• Ability to work in a team-orientated environment.
• Service with a smile!

Additional Considerations:

• Employees must always be of a sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
• This position is also in a high-altitude environment. An appropriate level of physical fitness is required.
• Some required uniform pieces are provided. Candidates must be prepared and wear appropriate footwear, gloves, layers, etc. for the conditions of an indoor/outdoor role at a ski area.

This role is subject to all terms and conditions of the Sunshine Village Employee Handbook, Policy Manual, and the Alberta Employment Standards Code.
